As a we complete our third year of dance performances in Dallas, we are looking forward to our 20224-2025 season which will include performances in venues across the Dallas area. In keeping with our mission to use the classical foundation of ballet to express contemporary perspectives, engage diverse communities, and enrich the human experience, our seasons include performances that are:
* Immersive and Intimate experiences that invite participants to engage with ballet in new and unexpected ways
* Narrative works that connect through resonant stories
* Innovate and progressive new works in collaboration with other arts organizations and non-dance artists.
Our audiences experience ballet as a living, contemporary art form that resonates with the humanity of all who encounter it.
Our existence as a dance company is based on our four value pillars:
* Collaboration - With other art forms; among our company dancers; with the community at large
* Respect - For the professionalism and creativity of our dance company and our audience and for our supporters
* Inclusivity and Belonging - Both within our dance company and through outreach to underserved communities
* Excellence - By engaging the best and most creative dancers, choreographers, and musicians
We hope that you will come to see us soon.
Pegasus Contemporary Ballet’s mission is to use the classical foundation of ballet to express contemporary perspectives, engage diverse audiences, and enrich the human experience. We use contemporary ballet to create innovative performances, interdisciplinary collaborations, and exciting new works.
Our audience experiences ballet as a living contemporary art form that resonates with the humanity of all who encounter it. We present engaging and excellent contemporary ballet performances across Dallas. Artists flourish and audiences are enriched with interdisciplinary collaborations, innovative experiences, resonant stories, and captivating new works.
As a young arts organization in Dallas, our 3-year strategic plan includes filling the following needs:
* Expand our Board by three members with marketing, project management, or fund-raising experience
* Secure a dedicated rehearsal space that can also be used for additional events such as open classes, workshops, and fund-raising
* Secure at least 2 Corporate sponsorships
Diversity makes us stronger and more thoughtful artists, creators, presenters, and custodians of our artform. Discrimination and injustice are not tolerated in our workplace or in the artistic process of our work.
Promoting a space for a multitude of diverse voices to create and engage with art, particularly in the field of ballet, is at the core of what we value. This includes all skin colors, ethnicities, religions, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We expect our community to hold us to these values and encourage open dialogue about how we can continue to listen, evolve, support, and engage with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, audiences, and communities.
