Welcome!

What does "Be There" mean?

It means Dallas County can count on its hospital system to show up, no matter what. It means a neighbor gets seen and cared for, not turned away. It means Parkland, the place that's been there for Dallas for over a century, keeps being there tomorrow.

Welcome to Parkland Health Foundation's North Texas Giving Day page

Every gift here does three things at once: it strengthens Dallas County's only public hospital system

Every gift made here works on three levels at once: it strengthens Dallas County's only public hospital system, it reaches someone who needed care today, and it keeps Parkland ready for whoever walks through the door tomorrow.

Why Donate to Parkland Health?

Dallas County is only as healthy as its safety net, and Parkland is that safety net. When a family has nowhere else to go, when a child is burned, when a mother needs prenatal care and can't pay for it, Parkland is there. Every time.

Your gift doesn't just fund a hospital. It funds:

  • Being there for Dallas County, as the region's only public hospital system, keeping care within reach for a community that's growing faster than its safety net.
  • Being there for your neighbor, the specific person, not a statistic, who gets seen, treated, and cared for because someone gave.
  • Being there for Parkland, sustaining the people, programs, and innovations that let Parkland keep showing up, year after year.

Programs like our Mobile Mammography Unit, which brings breast health screening directly to women across Dallas County, only exist because donors chose to be there first. We partner with organizations, schools and social service groups not just to deliver care, but to address the everyday, non-medical barriers that stand between our neighbors and good health.

Our Needs

Parkland is ready whenever the need arises: trauma, burn injury, natural disaster, public health emergency, with some of the most advanced medical care available anywhere in the country. But readiness isn't free, and the need in Dallas County keeps growing.

Regardless of wealth or insurance status, Parkland treats every patient who needs us, and helps them recover fully, with physical therapy and rehabilitation to get people back to their lives. We're also there for our most at-risk neighbors: those with little or no insurance and nowhere else to turn.

About 1 million Dallas County residents are uninsured or on Medicaid. Every one of them may need Parkland someday. Your gift makes sure we can be there when they do.

What a Single Day at Parkland Looks Like

Your gift supports a hospital system that, on any given day, provides:

  • 3,324 outpatients cared for
  • 33 babies born
  • Nearly 30,000 prescriptions filled
  • 604 patients seen in the ER
  • 650 women who receive primary or prenatal care

Be there for Dallas County.

Be there for your neighbor.

Be there for Parkland.

Be there today.

Mission

As one of the nation’s largest and busiest public hospitals, Parkland Health is always ready and willing to help you and others who become ill or critically injured. Whatever the need, whenever the need — whether trauma, burn injury, natural disaster or public health emergency — Parkland stands ready to help with world-class medical care.

Now more than ever, we need your help to meet the demands of providing quality medical care to a growing Dallas community.

Regardless of wealth or social status, Parkland cares for anyone who has suffered a traumatic injury. What's more, we offer physical therapy and rehabilitation to help patients get back on their feet and return to life's normal activities as soon as possible.

We also help Dallas by attending to the healthcare needs of our most "at-risk" neighbors who have little or no insurance and, most importantly, nowhere else to turn. in 2023 alone, we provided nearly $1.4 billion in unpaid care to the most vulnerable people residing in Dallas County.

Your willingness to make a gift and stand for Parkland is be deeply appreciated. Not only are you helping yourself and your loved ones, but you're helping community members with nowhere else to turn to receive necessary care.

Together, we'll create a healthier community and build a brighter future for Dallas.

As the only public hospital for Dallas County, Parkland is there when you need us the most - for the most vulnerable among us and for the most complicated, traumatic injuries and illnesses. And the need is staggering: About 1 million residents in Dallas County are uninsured or on Medicaid and critical trauma patients arrive at our doors every day.
