POOCH SAVERS RESCUE

A nonprofit organization

Our Needs

Monetary donations are ALWAYS needed as every new intake requires some form of vet attention (spay/neuter, rabies, heartworm test, fecal, surgeries, etc.)

Mission

Pooch Savers Rescue is 100% committed to keeping all dogs safe, happy, and healthy. We believe every dog deserves a forever home. We are a 100% volunteer run, 501(c) (3) nonprofit, all breed dog rescue. We started Pooch Savers Rescue because we were moved to action by the crisis in Texas shelters. This catastrophe takes the lives of thousands of innocent dogs every year. Our calling and passion is to prevent cruelty to animals and to help get abandoned, abused, helpless, homeless, neglected, rejected, sick, and or unwanted dogs into loving, responsible forever homes. Our guiding principal is the Golden Rule. Our mission is to not only increase the adoption rate and unite dogs and people for a lifetime of happiness but also to uphold the highest standards of animal welfare, wellness, and advocacy while educating the public about the grim state of affairs when it comes to animals in Texas. We aim to serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership. Our vision is to create a better world through kindness to animals that can't speak for themselves and need protection. We believe this not only enriches the lives of the animals, but also the people. We envision a world where all dogs are spayed and neutered and are taken care of by conscientious people and are in loving homes. We want to help create a world where all animals' lives matter. We especially want to see the end of animal shelter killing and the unnecessary suffering from overpopulation and unwanted animals. While we search for their carefully matched, permanent adoptive family, we provide food, love, rehabilitation (emotional and medical), safe haven, training and needed veterinary treatment to every dog in our rescue so they can thrive as a loving and loyal companion. Our ultimate goal is to have enough land to shelter the dogs in a building that would also have an area for any needed vetting, bathing, grooming, etc. We would also like to have an area that would serve as an adoption center and also an area for some retail space to help support the rescue. The aspiration is also to have a manager to live onsite and oversee the daily operations. We would also like to continue offering community service to volunteers to help promote the respect of all animals and to make sure they're safe and have a voice.
