OutLoud Dallas: Where Youth Shape Culture and Create Change
OutLoud is building a more creative, connected Dallas by amplifying youth voice through free, high-quality arts programming. From original theater and public art to mental health support and outdoor exploration, our programs provide platforms for young people to be seen, heard, and celebrated as artists and changemakers.
In 2024, we served 4,000+ youth from 19 Dallas-area zip codes—most of whom reported limited or no access to the arts before OutLoud. We hosted 21 public performances and exhibitions, bringing youth-created work to professional stages, galleries, and public spaces across the city.
Our Programs
OutLoud Voices – Our core multidisciplinary arts program, offered afterschool, during summer and school holidays, and in collaboration with cultural centers and schools. Youth work alongside professional artists to devise original theater, visual art, and multimedia storytelling.
Illuminated Voices, a signature component, is an intergenerational storytelling and spoken word series that brings youth and community members together to share space, perspectives, and truth on stage.
restorED – An arts-based well-being initiative that brings mobile studios and yearlong educator cohorts into schools, supporting mental health, emotional regulation, and belonging through creative expression.
OutLoud Adventures – Outdoor exploration cohorts for middle and high school students that cultivate leadership, teamwork, and personal growth through shared experiences in nature. Each cohort culminates in a capstone trip to a national park.
Anchored by our 6,000 sq. ft. Youth Arts Center in the Dallas Design District, we also operate mobile and school-based programs that extend access into under-resourced neighborhoods across the region.

OutLoud engages the voices of young people in our community, working together to create a world where the inherent worth of all individuals is recognized and valued and all people have equitable access to resources and opportunity. We recognize racism as a national public health crisis, and as a youth development organization, we have an important role as part of a community-wide effort to dismantle systemic racism and create transformative change.
