$10,000 Goal

Forest clearance and fossil fuel use by humans is causing climate change, the biggest threat to our planet -> Trees reduce GHG/warming, air, soil and water pollutants, and restore biodiversity.

Our growing needs and destructive practices are depleting resources faster than they are replenished  -> We must take responsibility and take action as individuals and organizations.

There is a multiplier effect of shortages, disease and extreme weather events -> Help to mitigate our negative impacts on the environment and drive a circular economy.

OEOC is working on the following initiatives to build climate resilience

Restore ecosystems and biodiversity

  • Grow/donate 1,000 trees/plants/kits yearly,  in schools/streets/low income neighborhoods, to cool urban areas, save rain water and improve air quality

  • Raise grassroots funds to green spaces through art, culture, yoga, grants, media and green product sales

Protect resources for future generations

  • Conduct monthly litter cleanups with partners to demonstrate responsible interaction with the planet

  • Promote food security via “Grow Together” farming

F

Empower to implement sustainable practices

  • Certificate curriculum to seed green ambassadors

  • Entrepreneur/ industry forums and “Show and Tells” to foster net zero and circular thinking
