Ondas Cultural and Movement Arts (Ondas CMA) incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2023. This CULTURAL BIPOC-led & community-focused organization primarily serves the residents of Fort Worth and surrounding areas, including both school- aged youth and adults. In-house services include fee-based classes in a variety of cultural arts, and regular free programs such as a Book Club, a monthly Family Night, Free Community Day Activities, and two Cultural Festivals each year - we also provide onsite services for local schools, universities, community focused festivals, and cultural events including those focusing on Black, Latinx and Brazilian history.
Your gift sustains diasporic arts—the arts that build and strengthen communities. Your donation will allow us to offer more after-school programming for schools with limited or no funding, expand free programs for families and adults, and pay diasporic teachers fairly for their expertise. Please give. Early giving begins August 27, and Giving Day is Thursday, September 17.
Our mission is to provide the community, and particularly the local underserved youth, with opportunities to interact with cultural and movement arts where diverse and inclusive histories are represented and uplifted through authentic and educational cultural exchanges. Additionally we provide educational and interactive opportunities for community building, community maintenance, and sustainable practices through programming for people of all ages.
Ondas CMA needs funding to cultural arts programming across North Texas. We need support for to adequately compensate our highly trained and dedicated teaching artists working with underserved youth, and sponsors to help fund our cultural festivals.
Ondas CMA is committed to equity of access and representation in all aspects of our work. We are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space where everyone is valued and appreciated regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, abilities, disabilities, or any other factor.
