Our Lady of Angels Parish

Our Mission

As a Catholic Community, we follow our mission to “Love God, Embrace All People, and Share the Gospel Joyfully.” 

Our parish has been serving Christ and His Church in Allen, Texas for close to 25 years.  Our hospitality extends to everyone – visitors, newcomers, and parishioners – so that all feel welcomed and at home as part of the OLA family.

We strive to put the loving heart of Jesus in action through our pastoral care ministries including intercessory prayer, walking with those who are grieving, home visitation, and funeral receptions. We are actively involved in outreach efforts to the community supporting programs such as Guardian Angel for those in need of financial assistance, food pantry collections and Blood Drives.

Our parish is led by Fr. Wade Bass, Pastor. We serve over a thousand families and offer four Mass celebrations each weekend. We offer faith formation classes, retreats and mission trips to adults and children looking to grow in their Catholic faith.

Our Needs

Our focus is raising funds to reduce our debt. Our goal of $19,000 pays the mortgage for a month thus eliminating the need to use our existing funds. The Education and Formation Building was initially built in 2008. We’ve expanded over the years with the finish out of the second floor. It now hosts our parish offices, meeting/gathering spaces and faith formation classes. Your generosity will directly impact our passion for knocking down our debt this year, culminating in our 25th anniversary in 2026.

Tackling our debt will allow us to open doors to new projects that will help our parish be more strategic in its mission to proclaim the Gospel. It will also enable us to be more focused on pastoral planning: helping people encounter God through the sacraments and the Bible and building up our faith formation to form the next generation of Christians.
