Mission

Our mission is to advance civic engagement among college students and underrepresented communities across North Texas by increasing voter registration, delivering accessible and accurate election education, and promoting sustained participation in every election.

We are committed to eliminating barriers to the ballot, fostering civic confidence, and cultivating a culture of lifelong voter engagement through strategic partnerships, community outreach, and advocacy.

Needs

The midterms are coming.

Voter suppression doesn’t wait — and it doesn’t care about party. When eligible citizens are turned away, or don’t know their rights, trust in the system erodes for everyone.

North Texas Votes launched just last year. Since then, we’ve had 30,000 conversations with North Texans — at community gatherings, graduations, Pride events, cultural festivals, and churches. From those conversations, we registered and educated 10,000 new voters.

But our work is bigger than a number. It’s about building trust — one conversation at a time — in communities that have often felt overlooked or unheard. It’s about growing the next generation of civic leaders, equipping young people and first-time volunteers to carry this work forward long after this election cycle ends.

We’re a nonpartisan 501(c)(3). We don’t tell anyone how to vote — we make sure every eligible citizen can vote, has the tools to be an educated voter, and feels welcome doing it.

With the midterms approaching, the need for these conversations — and the trust they build — is greater than ever.

In our first year, that approach led to 30,000 conversations, 10,000 new voters, and a growing network of community volunteers and emerging leaders who reflect the communities they serve.
