Howdy Fellow Texans!
We are a competitive power wheelchair soccer team consisting of passionate athletes who live in, and around, the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Power soccer is an exhilarating sport designed for power wheelchair users, enabling them to compete at various levels. By being a part of this team, athletes get the opportunity to work together, bond and challenge themselves. The foundation provides equipment and instruction to athletes at no cost. Your support enables new and current athletes to travel for competition, secure the equipment, cover repairs, facility costs and much more. Our athletes have limited opportunities for recreation and competition. This sport and the community of athletes, coaches, volunteers and families changes lives. The athletes gain independence, improved self esteem, confidence, muscle development and long lasting friendships.
The mission of NTFC is to enhance the lives of those with physical disabilities through sports, recreation, and competition. To expand sportsmanship and comradery opportunities for power wheelchair users through soccer and to maintain a support community for youth and adult athletes.
NTFC is in need of specialized wheelchairs for power soccer, each costing approximately $10,000. These power chairs are designed with a low center of gravity and a wide wheelbase, the Strike Force chair is able to move with more agility and spin kick the ball with superior power.
NTFC participates in regional and national tournaments very year. We are in need of funds to cover uniforms, equipment, repairs and travel expenses, which are significant for our athletes.
NTFC is, and always will be, an inclusive organization open to athletes with physical disabilities regardless of race, income, gender and gender identity, religion, age and political association. There is no membership fee to be part of the NTFC community or to practice the in sport.
