Help Them
$0 Raised
At NTCR, we dedicate ourselves year-round to rescuing cats like MIEL from high-kill shelters and the streets, providing them with the love and care they truly deserve. Unfortunately, this year has presented significant challenges, with many cats ending up in overcrowded shelters or being abandoned by owners who can no longer care for them due to various life changes. We've seen a rise in surrendered cats to our rescue for reasons ranging from relocation to new family dynamics.
Our commitment to these furry friends remains steadfast, but as veterinary care costs continue to climb, we find ourselves increasingly dependent on the kindness and generosity of our community. Your support is vital in helping us provide necessary medical care, especially for our hospice cats who require ongoing treatment, such as insulin or thyroid medication.
Additionally, we are, when possible, involved in TNR trap-neuter-return initiatives to help control the population of neighborhood cats, ensuring they receive the care they need. Together, with your help, we can continue to make a pawsitive impact in the lives of these cats. We appreciate every donation, share, and word of encouragement, as they all contribute to creating a brighter future for our feline friends.
Thank you for being part of our mission!
Miel's Web Page
Miel is truly a one-of-a-kind kitty, and the most laid-back feline you'll ever come across. When she first arrived at NTCR, she was a bit shy, and who could blame her? But that didn't stop her from trying her best to get along with two rambunctious foster kittens. We suspect that Miel was trapped and brought to a local shelter before she was rescued by NTCR. She was found lactating, and so she was given a litter of neonatal babies to feed. As a natural caregiver, she was a great surrogate mom to these kittens. However, once they were old enough to be rescued, she was left behind, sick and tired. However, since being in foster care, Miel has learned to embrace the indoor life and enjoy being spoiled a little. During her spay surgery, the vet also removed a sizeable mammary tumor. Thankfully, it turned out to be benign, and Miel has fully recovered, regaining her health and her beautiful soft coat. Now, she would be happiest as the only companion for her human – she's ready to be the queen of her castle!
Mission Statement for North Texas Cat Rescue
North Texas Cat Rescue ( NTCR) is a 501 (c)(3) ALL Volunteer organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats.
EIN: 20-8812308
It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes. We are further dedicated to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community.
NTCR takes in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and takes in kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. NTCR places the cats in foster care for resocializing and regularly runs adoption events to find permanent homes for them.
NTCR is actively looking for TLC/Cleaner volunteers to maintain the adoption center inside Petsmart 170 E Stacy rd Allen Tx 75002
