“You are never too old to make a new friend or learn a new song” is the motto of theNew Song Community Choir, a vibrant group of senior adults celebrating their 20th year. The group includes 80 seniors from 20 churches, eight senior living facilities, and ten metroplex communities. Each month, they perform at senior centers, churches, and community organizations, offering both sacred and secular music to uplift their audience. Led by Sarah Stafford, a director with over 35 years of experience, the choir fosters a network of support and friendship, promoting quality living for seniors.
Our Needs
In 2020, New Song became its own non-profit, with generous seed funding from Wilshire. We are actively looking for generous donations to continue this great ministry.
The only cost to the members is the cost of the uniforms. Generous donations help pay the director, accompanist, purchase music, fund transportation to our singing engagements, and more.
Mission
New Song Community Choir enhances the well-being of older adults by providing a supportive, nurturing environment enabling them to share their love of music while building meaningful relationships and serving the community.
