We are New Life Cat Rescue, a 501c3 non-profit founded in 2021. Dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating hurt, sick, and homeless cats & kittens, providing them with a chance at finding forever homes 🏠❤️ We are 100% volunteer run, and in-home foster based. In just four and half short years, our growing group has saved HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of helpless felines. Join us in saving lives and spreading love during this giving campaign🙌 Your donations go towards SO many things we need on a daily basis to continue helping cats. Food, litter, medications, funds for vet bills, surgeries, spays and neuters, among so very many others. Help us continue to be the voice for the voiceless ♥️🐾
New Life Cat Rescue is dedicated to helping cats in need in Ellis County. We are a very small foster based rescue but this kitten season, we had over 200 kittens!!! This kitten season seems to have started early and is not stopping. We have taken in over 20 bottle feeding kittens. These babies require extra time, attention, formula, and love to help them grow.
Since January of 2025, we have had over 200 adoptions!! Our rescue pulls from local shelters when we can to give these kitties a chance for a new life. We help our community with re-homing kitties if we are able to. But, our main mission is to help the homeless kitties and those kitties that have medical issues. A lot of the kitties we take in are abandoned and in rough shape. Our amazing fosters show them love and take care of them.
One day during the peak of kitten season, we took in 38 kittens in one day!! That was on top of what we already had!!
New Life Cat Rescue is also involved with educating the public. We hosted two classes on TNR this year. (Trap Neuter Release) We would like to do more next year.
In addition, we also loan out traps and help people get stray cats TNR'd. Our rescue has also spayed and neutered countless stray cats. One location alone, we TNR'd over 20 cats. If the kitties we catch are friendly, we then help them to find new indoor homes after we get them vetted.
New Life Cat Rescue has had several medical cases over the last year.
Tyler is a street cat that had an enormous open wound on his neck. He was left like that on the streets for a few weeks. New Life was notified and got him to an emergency vet and they closed the wound. He has healed and was adopted and in a new loving home.
Squirtle was saved by local firefighters from someone who was about to throw this sweet kitty off of a bridge. They brought him to our rescue and he was in rough shape. But, we took him to the vet and they had to remove one eye, but he is with a new family now and doing great!
Manxie was found on the streets with a horrible eye infection and facial wounds. He was feral, but our volunteer got him trapped and taken to the vet. She cared for him while he recovered and then released him when he was healthy again. He has a caretaker to watch him. He is still feral, but now he is not suffering with horrible wounds.
Calvin was recently discovered outside with a horrible wound on his side that was infected. We got him to a vet and he is doing amazing now. He is so sweet and will no longer be an outdoor kitty!
Canned Green Beans was brought to one of our foster's daughters with severe URI and a skin issue. With lots of love and medication, this guy is doing so much better and is currently up for adoption.
Patches is a stray cat that was attacked by a dog. She is just a year old and her leg was broken and needed to be amputated. New Life's amazing foster is taking care of her while she recovers. While she was recovering from her spay surgery, this sweetie needed an emergency surgery because she got a serious infection. Her amazing fosters family had come to love this sweet kitty and ended up adopted her.
Sir Whiskers was brought to us and diagnosed with wet FIP. He is still undergoing treatment, but has gotten so much better! FIP medicine is very expensive and requires long term treatment.
Romeo had surgery to fix a hernia. He is now in a loving home and is such a sweet and loving boy!
These are just a few of our recent medical cases. We get requests daily to help kitties. We do the best with can with limited funds.
