For over 28 years, Neuro Fitness Foundation has stood beside individuals living with neurological impairments, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and more. Our adaptive fitness center is a safe, welcoming space where members work to regain their strength, their independence, and a sense of who they were before their diagnosis.

We offer equipment built specifically for bodies that move differently, so our members can reclaim what illness or injury tried to take from them.

More Than a Gym
At NFF, recovery isn't just physical. Members and their families find emotional support here, too. Our space is a place to reduce stress, rebuild confidence, and work toward a better quality of life. Everyone knows your name. You become part of a family that understands exactly what you're facing, because so many of us have faced it ourselves. We celebrate every win, and we show up with compassion when things are hard.

Additionally, we collaborate with medical professionals and actively participates in clinical trials and neurological research, and our facility serves as an educational training site for healthcare students, offering opportunities for internships and capstone projects. These programs provide students with direct, hands-on experience working with individuals affected by neurological conditions. This allows them to apply their academic knowledge with practical application in a real-world clinical environment.

Who We Are
NFF started small, and in many ways, we still operate that way. We run on a shoestring budget with just a few employees, paid well below industry standard, because our mission comes first. Half of our volunteer Board of Directors live with disabilities themselves. Our work isn't charity work from the outside looking in. It's our community, building something for our community.

Where Your Gift GoesYour donation on North Texas Giving Day Helps us:

  • Open the door wider by subsidizing gym access for members who can't afford it due to financial challenges.
  • Grow our team by hiring part-time staff to expand hands-on client support.
  • Expand our reach by offering exercise yoga, drumming, and other programs that build strength and joy
  • Equip our space with equipment, such as therapy mat tables, treatment mirrors, gripping gloves, and Thera-Bands that make every session possible

Why It Matters
An accident or a diagnosis can change a life in an instant, and insurance runs out long before recovery does. When that happens, people need somewhere to turn. Your gift keeps Neuro Fitness Foundation standing as that place: a beacon of hope and hands-on help for the Dallas-Fort Worth community, today and for the next 27 years.

Mission

Neuro Fitness Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people with neurological conditions reclaim their strength, independence, and quality of life. Through our specialized adaptive gym, we provide strength and cardiovascular training designed for bodies that move differently, giving members the tools, community, and encouragement to rebuild what illness or injury took from them.

Our mission is to maintain a facility where exercise and education strengthen both mind and body, empowering neurologically impaired individuals, and anyone who benefits from our specialized equipment, to live stronger, more independent lives.

Needs

Your Donation Supports:

- Scholarships for members facing financial hardship, so cost is never the reason someone has to stop coming to our facility.

- Part-time staff support, so our gym can have more hands-on attention and coverage for our growing member base.

- Adaptive class funding for programs such as yoga, boxing, or chair exercises that build strength, balance, and community.

- Adaptive equipment that allows our members to workout, making every session possible.

- General operating support to help us keep the lights on, the equipment maintained, and the doors open every day.
