Our motto reflects what we try to give in every visit with our minis - "Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything or do anything in particular, but just to let us feel we are supported and cared about." When we visit children in medical care in the hospitals or Ronald McDonald Houses ... or seniors in memory care units, we know we cannot fix their situations but we can lift their spirits and hopefully leave them in a better state of mind. We launched our "Just Say WHOA To Bullying" program that focuses on character building and showing kindness in our schools. The program has been well received and we are looking forward to presenting this program to a lot more schools.
Our Needs
Mini Hooves of Love is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the DFW area that brings smiles to children and adults by bringing Miniature Therapy Horses to local children's hospitals, nursing homes, schools for children with disabilities, as well as hospice patients.
To continue our mission we need donations for:
-Van Insurance
-Visit/Event Insurance separate from PetPartners
-Vet & Farrier costs
-Daily are expenses including Forage/Hay/Feed/Suppliments
-Vest and boots
-Gas Expense
-Uniforms for Handlers & t-shirts for volunteers
-Printed materials such as minis' individual trading cards, brochures, book marks and business cards
-Stuffed Horses that are small and kid safe given to the patients.

In order to accomplish our mission, we believe that we must be responsive to the needs of everyone in the community who wish to receive services, regardless of their racial/ethnic/sreligious/or physical disabilities. We will create and implement programs using our awareness of cultural differences and treat all clients with respect and to accomodate to meet their physical needs.
