Our motto reflects what we try to give in every visit with our minis - "Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything or do anything in particular, but just to let us feel we are supported and cared about." When we visit children in medical care in the hospitals or Ronald McDonald Houses ... or seniors in memory care units, we know we cannot fix their situations but we can lift their spirits and hopefully leave them in a better state of mind. We launched our "Just Say WHOA To Bullying" program that focuses on character building and showing kindness in our schools. The program has been well received and we are looking forward to presenting this program to a lot more schools.
Mini Hooves of Love is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the DFW area that brings smiles to children and adults by bringing Miniature Therapy Horses to local children's hospitals, nursing homes, schools for children with disabilities, as well as hospice patients.
To continue our mission we need donations for:
- Gift or Gas cards. There is a lot of travel involved.
- Printing supplies. Each horse has a trading card of each horse, brochures and business cards and now bookmarks for students.
- Stuffed horses that are small and kid safe given to the patients.
- Daily care expenses of feed, hay, farrier and vet care for our therapy horses.
- Our BIG "Wish List" includes and MOST IMPORTANTLY IS A NEW VAN allowing us to carry multiple horses (especially Monarch who is larger) along with our supplies and sometimes another volunteer.

Every little bit helps our teams and our mission to bring joy to all we visit during their tough times in life.

Van .... we NEED a van that we can use to transport the minis and volunteers to/from visits.
In order to accomplish our mission, we believe that we must be responsive to the needs of everyone in the community who wish to receive services, regardless of their racial/ethnic/sreligious/or physical disabilities. We will create and implement programs using our awareness of cultural differences and treat all clients with respect and to accomodate to meet their physical needs.
