Every week, our staff and volunteers take our mobile resource buses out to build relationships by providing immediate relief with food, warm soup, water, socks, hygiene kits, and help to our homeless friends. We believe that consistency is one of the keys to building trust and getting people the help that they need.

Our bus outreaches truly break down barriers with our friends on the street. Once they see us consistently serving week after week, they begin to ask us for advice, assistance, and advocacy. We're then able to connect them to available community resources and services while partnering alongside them throughout the entire process as their individual needs are addressed towards self-support and recovery. We've seen countless lives changed as a result of our bus outreaches, the care and kindness of helping volunteers and our mobile case management approach.

  • We're person-centered, solution focused
  • We go
  • We feed
  • We build relationships
  • We connect to the need resources and local partner services to build a life forward

People experiencing homelessness face huge burdens on the streets. Our outreach team reduces those burdens by meeting people wherever they are on the streets and creating a personalized plan of action for every step of the way forward.

We believe that every person matters and we will always go in search of those who need help.

We've helped thousands this year with essential needs like food, water, hygiene kits and other seasonal necessities such as coats, socks and undergarments. Depending on their individual needs, our mobile case managers have also obtained hundreds of state ID's, vital documents and helped connect our homeless friends to medical and job assistance, detox and rehab programs, home with family or a residence of their own. Each person that has gotten off the streets represents months of hard work by our case managers to ensure that our friends are well taken care of. In the first 9 months of this year we have been able to help more than 100 permanently off the streets into a residence of their own or back home with family. Will you join us?

Our Needs

Give that others may live! We need your help this winter with donations so we can meet the growing demand for more food, water, coats, supplies, fuel, vehicles, and case workers on the streets. This will help expand our impact in the DFW metroplex homeless communities. We also need more volunteers on our Friday and Saturday Bus Outreaches to the homeless. Reach us at volunteer@metrorelief.org, metrorelief.org to check our volunteer calendar or call us at (214)705-3555.
