The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is a volunteer-driven ensemble committed to enriching Mesquite and the surrounding communities through powerful, engaging musical experiences. Our talented volunteer musicians from across North Texas bring passion and artistry to every performance. With strong community support, MSO offers inspiring concerts, educational outreach, and meaningful opportunities for local musicians. Join us in keeping orchestral music vibrant and accessible in Mesquite.

In addition to our performances and outreach, the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra proudly supports the next generation of musicians through our annual scholarship program. Each year, we award scholarships to deserving local students who demonstrate exceptional talent, dedication, and a passion for music. By investing in their education, we help nurture future performers, educators, and arts advocates—ensuring a lasting legacy of musical excellence in our community.

Our Needs

The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra is proud to celebrate its 37th season in 2024–2025! This year, we’ll present a dynamic series of Saturday night concerts at the Mesquite Arts Center while continuing to expand our outreach to Mesquite ISD schools and students. Our top funding priority this season is to support new artistic collaborations with local arts groups and the Mesquite Arts Center.

We’re also growing our endowment—the Tomorrow Fund—which began in 2015 with a generous $40,000 gift and early guidance from a citywide advisory council led by the Mayor of Mesquite. Now surpassing $60,000, this fund is already helping sustain our concert series by providing vital operating support each year. Gifts of any size are needed and welcome, and every donor will be recognized as a founding member of the fund.

Mission

Support the Music. Strengthen the Community.

The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is a volunteer-driven ensemble dedicated to enriching the Mesquite community and beyond through the power of music. Rooted in the tradition of community orchestras, we take pride in our deep connection with the people we serve and the talented musicians who bring our performances to life.

Unlike many orchestras in the region, the MSO is powered by passionate volunteer musicians—artists who generously share their skill and love for music to create unforgettable experiences. Their dedication, combined with the unwavering support of our audience, donors, and volunteers, makes the MSO truly special.

Your generosity fuels our ability to present inspiring concerts, expand educational outreach, and provide opportunities for local musicians. With your support, we can continue to grow as a cultural cornerstone of Mesquite, bringing joy, inspiration, and artistic excellence to all.

Needs

As the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra enters its 38th season, we are focused on expanding our artistic collaborations and strengthening our financial foundation.
