Meals On Wheels Texoma

Founded in 1980, Meals on Wheels of Texoma (MOWOT) now serves almost 380,000 meals per year to clients throughout Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson Counties.  We provide a combination of both home-delivered meals and congregate meals (meals eaten in a group setting at area Senior Citizens Centers). 

MOWOT welcomes anyone at least 60 years of age to join us for lunch Monday through Friday, regardless of your ability to pay for a meal.  Although we certainly encourage you to support our program, no senior citizen ever has to pay for their meal at one of our congregate meal locations.  Donations are always accepted, but never required.

MOWOT also provides home-delivered meals to homebound clients.  In order to receive home-delivered meals, you must first be evaluated by a caseworker.  In order to insure that our clients are receiving the full breadth of services they need, MOWOT accepts clients on a referral basis.  If you or someone you know has difficulty preparing meals you can call one of the following agencies to learn more about the possibility of home-delivered meals.  Clients under the age of 60 should call the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) at 1-888-337-6377.   Clients 60 years of age or older should call Elderwatch at the Area Agency on Aging at 1-903-813-3505
