Marleigh's Friends Rescue

Marleigh's Friends Rescue started in late 2018 and officially became a 501c3 in 2019.

Since then, we have saved many dogs and cats from being euthanized in the crowded shelters, abusive homes, neglectful situations and taken many injured off the county roads where shelters do not exist and the pets have little to no chance.

We do not discriminate by breed, size, behavior or medical needs.  In fact, we prefer saving the ones that others are not interested in saving because they are the ones who need us the most!  Special Needs, Seniors and the Underdog are always our favorites!  We primarily rescue large breed dogs and adult cats but occasionally help with smaller dogs, puppies and kittens when we have the means.

We are an all VOLUNTEER run rescue, so 100% of you donation, supports the DOGS and CATS in our care!

Our Mission:

The mission of Marleigh's Friends is to save unwanted dogs and cats from being mistreated, neglected, abandoned or euthanized.  

We are committed to providing them the medical care, tools and love they need to help them to overcome their past and prepare them for a loving forever home.

We encourage youth involvement in our rescue efforts and hope that by educating and teaching responsibility and compassion to children, one day the world will not have such a great need for rescue!

Our Needs:

• Funding for Our Mission! - Every animal that comes through our rescue is fully vetted before going to their forever home.  Most have medical needs that extend beyond routine vetting of vaccines and sterilization.  Being in Texas, we have many dogs that come through our rescue needing Heartworm Treatment.
• Fosters! -  Marleigh's Friends accepts all size, breed and age of pets into our rescue, so we are sure to have a pet that needs you!  We often rescue pets with medical or special needs, seniors, or ones that need help building confidence, but we also rescue the healthy adoptable pets who are at risk of being euthanized at local shelters for space.  Fostering is FREE.  We provide all you need for your foster pet.  All it costs you is a little time and a soft spot on your couch.
• Volunteers! - Not everyone can foster and we get that BUT, you can STILL HELP!  We cannot do this alone!  Volunteers are need to help with events, transporting to vet appointments, meet and greets, and supply pick up and disbursements!  You can also volunteer from HOME with things like fundraising, social media, photo editing, application processing and so much more. 
• Supplies! - We absolutely love when supplies end up on our door step! By sending donations from our AMAZON WISHLIST, you help us to keep the Monetary Donations for Vet Bills!
