Marcus Graham Project — Gamma House Phase II

Help us finish the inside of Dallas’s youth content lab—building a broadcast-ready podcast studio, co-creation spaces, and the equipment library that powers real careers.Your gift also helps bridge critical year-end operational gaps so our programs keep running strong into 2026.

Gamma House is the Marcus Graham Project’s creative home base in South Dallas: a community lab where emerging Black and Brown storytellers learn, make, and launch work that moves culture. Phase II turns our existing shell into a fully functional makerspace—with an acoustically treated podcast studio, edit suites, co-creation bays, and a shared equipment library—so fellows, alumni, and neighborhood youth can produce professional content on day one.

Why now

Demand for MGP training and studio access is at an all-time high, while paid, entry-level opportunities remain scarce. Phase II closes that gap by bundling skills training with real production capacity—so talent doesn’t have to leave the community to create, learn, and earn.Additionally, gifts made during North Texas Giving Day help cover year-end operating needs (program staffing, utilities, software, insurance, and participant support) that keep the lights on and the doors open through Q4 and into the new year.

What Phase II delivers

  • Podcast Studio (broadcast quality): sound isolation, vocal booth, talkback, lighting grid, control desk
  • Co-Creation Bays: flexible stations for short-form video, photography, design, and audio post
  • Edit Lab: high-performance workstations (video/audio), licensed pro software, shared storage
  • Equipment Library: cameras, lenses, mics, mixers, recorders, tripods, lights—plus checkout system
  • Community Space: seating, screens, and power for workshops, critiques, and live recordings

Funding priorities your gift can power

  • Acoustics & Build-Out: soundproof doors, wall/ceiling treatment, studio glass, flooring, electrical & data
  • Core Studio Kit: broadcast mics, arms, mixer/interface, monitoring, teleprompter, lighting
  • Edit Lab & Software: machines, color-accurate monitors, storage/backup, Adobe/DAW licenses
  • Co-Creation Kits: DSLR/mirrorless bundles, wireless/lav mics, gimbals, audio bags, field recorders
  • Infrastructure: ADA access, security, HVAC silencing, signage, furniture & cable management

Giving Activity

Mission

The Marcus Graham Project (MGP) exists to expand who gets to create, influence, and lead in marketing and media. We identify high-potential talent, equip them with industry-relevant skills, and surround them with mentors, peers, and employers who accelerate growth. Through immersive training, real client work, and intentional career exposure, we remove barriers to entry and build pathways to meaningful, sustainable careers. Our alumni community and partner network extend this support well beyond the program, advancing a more innovative and equitable creative industry.
