A future where every individual is empowered and equipped to shape a vibrant, inclusive democracy.
OUR PROGRAMS
Young people are ready to be civic leaders- they simply need the tools and opportunities to be civically engaged. Outside of our in-classroom civics education and registration for seniors, we have amazing extra-curricular civic engagemnt clubs for 9-12th graders.
Through Student Voter Empowerment Clubs (SVEC), March to the Polls provides guidance, knowledge and materials so students can create nonpartisan, hands-on civic experiences for their peers and school communities. SVEC leaders and members plan and deliver mock elections, organize marches to the polls, moderate candidate forums, and lead voter registration and education efforts. Students also attend city council and school board meetings and take field trips to the state capitol where they can see democracy in action.
OUR NEED
Your gift towards our $50,000 goal will not only support campus projects and activities but will strengthen student civic engagement and develop leadership skills that will go beyond the classroom. Below are examples of inspiring activities from last school year.

SVEC projects transform curiosity into confidence and action. This North Texas Giving Day, our focus is on ensuring every club has the resources necessary to complete a fall project.
Fall Project costs cover:
- voter education and registration materials,
- transportation for field trips,
- snacks and supplies for meetings and projects,
- and curriculum and digital materials.
OUR IMPACT
Each club project has a profound impact on all of those who are involved. On average, each project reaches:
- 15 club members who develop leadership skills
- 350 seniors who are ready to join the electorate
- 1,800 students overall who are exposed to civic engagement opportunities
- countless families, staff, and neighbors who participate in club projects!
Give early starting August 28 and on September 18 for the big push. Together, we can grow the next generation of informed, engaged voters.
