$1,000 Goal

MLK Celebration of Terrell, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization with the goal of "keeping the Dream Alive" through education.  We also honor, uphold, and promote the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by working cooperatively with diverse community organizations in creating a community where all lives are valued and protected. How does all of this happen?

WE FUNDRAISE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO TERRELL HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS.

WE ARE WORKING CLOSELY WITH TERRELL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT in order to develop a mentoring program that encourages students to learn more about Dr. King and to model his behavior.

EACH JANUARY WE ORGANIZE AN ANNUAL"MLK CELEBRATION" program. This is an opportunity to enjoy creative and musical performances from members of our community, including interpretive dance, chorales, and ensembles.

AWARDS ARE GIVEN AT "MLK CELEBRATION" to citizens and businesses in the community who exemplify the values of Dr. King.
