Welcome to the League of Women Voters - Dallas, where our dedicated and diverse team of volunteers spans generations to ensure the impartial dissemination of crucial information to voters.

We are committed to empowering individuals with knowledge about voter registration, participation in elections, and the maintenance of their voter status.

The League of Women Voters of Dallas is a local, nonprofit, nonpartisan grassroots organization that actively promotes informed civic engagement. With affiliated state and national offices, we maintain a steadfast commitment to remaining neutral in regard to candidates and political parties.

Our volunteers at the Dallas League are actively engaged in registering voters and listening to the needs of our community members, with a particular focus on those facing barriers to voting. Through extensive research into public voting records, we identify communities with historically low voter turnout and registration rates, especially among different age groups. To bolster voting engagement, we employ a variety of communication methods and strategies.

In addition to our voter-focused initiatives, we channel our efforts into advocating for vital local issues such as voting rights, redistricting, education, healthcare, and housing. Our work is driven by the dedication of our volunteers and is overseen by a dedicated board of directors. Throughout the year, we host numerous events, featuring expert discussions, voter registration drives, and updates on local League projects. We collaborate closely with nonpartisan organizations in Dallas on various voting activities and candidate forums.    At the core of our mission is the belief that voting is a fundamental right, and we strive to ensure that all eligible voters have equal opportunities to exercise that right. Our unwavering commitment is to facilitate elections that are free, fair, and accessible.

Our outreach efforts extend to engaging thousands of new voters, primarily through voter registration and related informational campaigns, with a particular focus on Dallas College campuses.

During the November 2020 election and subsequent 2022 elections, our voter services webpage garnered thousands of visitors. A cornerstone of our efforts is the publication of the Voters Guide, which we produce for national, state, and local elections.

In 2020, our online Voters Guide, Vote411, was accessed by nearly 130,000 unique Dallas County viewers. Moreover, we annually print and distribute over 10,000 hard copies of the Guides, many of which are available in both English and Spanish.

We are currently gearing up for our next Voters Guide, tailored for the November 2024 general election, in collaboration with sister leagues at the local, state, and national levels!
