This year Life Works Community is celebrating 10 years of helping our clients become all they can be. As shown above, we enrich their lives, teach them work skills and help them participate in commerce in the Community Markets and give purpose to their lives through community service in partnership with other nonprofits In Denton. This year we have grown our client base by over 17%, given over 11,000 hours of volunteer service and helped even more of our clients start and succeed in private sector jobs. We have done all this only because of the support of our great donors and the support of the Denton Community and City and County Leaders. Here are some of the things that your donations support....
$25 pays for us to transport our clients to volunteer opportunities around Denton, that make our city better every day.
$100 pays for a Friday celebration for all of our clients after a week of learning and working.
$500 pays for an outing in the Metroplex to experience the culture and spread the joy of LWC
Because of our great volunteers, none of the money contributed by our donors goes to administrative costs! Your dollars go to the real work!

Clients at Life Works Community take part in programming that gives instruction and guidance in the areas of LIFE, WORK and COMMUNITY. It is through these three key areas that clients develop the skills of all aspects of self-care, train to foster independence and job training, and enhance socialization through community initiatives and projects. An overarching goal of Life Works Community is to have this marginalized population engaged with, and seen as good stewards of, the community. Ideally, this underserved population will be supported in our community with services that help all citizens, despite their differences, achieve their potential.
