Leukemia Texas

A nonprofit organization

100% complete

$7,500 Goal

With more than 50 years of experience, Leukemia Texas is the leader in providing Patient Aid to leukemia patients in Texas. Through the Leukemia Texas Patient Aid Program, individual grants of $1,000 are gifted to individuals fighting the life-threatening blood cancer of leukemia. These funds are often used to help with treatment expenses left uncovered by insurance, medications, and provide for basic needs while patients undergo treatment (food, utilities, travel expenses to and from hospital visits, mortgage/rent). Cancer is very expensive and other life expenses continue, so Leukemia Texas offers these one-time grants with no strings attached. Giving to Leukemia Texas ensures your money stays local and does not go to a national fund - it goes to Texans - your neighbors!

Leukemia Texas also funds life-saving leukemia research at major medical institutions throughout the state. Leukemia Texas supports innovative research projects that will advance the clinical care of patients and have a direct application to the prevention, treatment, and supportive care of children and adults undergoing diagnosis and treatment of leukemia.

In a time of emotional and financial hardship, there are often few places to turn to for help. There is, however, Leukemia Texas, providing critical support to Texans battling leukemia through the funding of Patient Aid and Research. Join us in our fight to BEAT LEUKEMIA!

Our Needs

Leukemia Texas requests direct financial assistance to help the Texas patients requesting support through the Patient Aid Program. Direct financial support can be offered through the North Texas Giving Day platform, or through Leukemia Texas' secure online giving platform atwww.leukemiatexas.org/donate.

In addition to financial support that provides for the needs of North Texas leukemia patients as they undergo treatment, Leukemia Texas is always in need of skilled volunteers and individuals to serve in a number of ways that can include but are not limited to the following:

1) Event and Host Committees to help with our fundraising events and branding

2) Event volunteers to help us prepare for and assist at our three North Texas signature fundraising events (The BEATLEukemia Ball)

3) Create and distribute our Buddy Packs to patients facing leukemia - https://leukemiatexas.org/buddy-cares-packing-parties/

Further, Leukemia Texas greatly appreciates in-kind gifts that assist with the operational needs of the organization. Feel free to reach out to the organization for a list of current "Wish List" Items and Needs.
