Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children in the United States. Each year, thousands of families hear the devastating words, “Your child has cancer.” The journey that follows is filled with emotional, physical, and financial challenges. From long hospital stays to expensive treatments and uncertain outcomes, families often feel overwhelmed and alone. At Leia’s Kids, we exist to step into that gap — offering hope, encouragement, and practical support to help children and their families navigate this life-altering diagnosis with strength and dignity.
Leia’s Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and joy to children, young adults, and families in the fight against childhood cancer. Founded by Leia Hunt, a two-time childhood cancer survivor.
Leia's Kids accomplishes its mission by offering financial grants to ease the burden of medical expenses, hosting family dream parties that create unforgettable memories, organizing Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) mental health retreats to support emotional well-being, raising awareness about childhood cancer, and providing essential resources to guide families through their challenging journeys.
Our goal is to remind every child that they are seen, loved, and never fighting alone.
Leia’s Kids is a tax-exempt public charity (federal tax ID #82-3212936). All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
