What We Do
Leadership Arlington strengthens our city by equipping people of all ages to lead with vision and purpose. Each year, we offer two cornerstone programs:
Adult Leadership Arlington — a 9-month program that immerses business, nonprofit, government, and community leaders in the issues, opportunities, and networks that shape Arlington. Graduates leave with stronger civic connections, broader perspectives, and a lifelong commitment to service.
Youth Leadership Arlington — a 9-month free program for high school juniors that develops leadership skills while providing a behind-the-scenes look at city government, education, healthcare, business, and nonprofits. Youth meet decision-makers, build confidence, and discover how they can influence the future of their community.
Together, these programs create a powerful pipeline of engaged citizens, ensuring Arlington thrives today and for generations to come.

While adult participants or their employers invest in tuition, Youth Leadership Arlington is offered at no cost to students or their families. That’s intentional. We believe every young person, regardless of background, deserves the chance to belong in leadership spaces.
