The Laughlin Farm is a family-run nonprofit large animal rescue located in Texas, founded by the Laughlin family with one simple mission: to save animals that others have given up on.
What started with rescuing one animal quickly turned into a lifelong calling. Today, Laughlin Farm is home to more than 30 rescued animals including horses, donkeys, calves, goats, llamas, ponies, and other animals who were neglected, abandoned, at risk of slaughter, or in desperate need of medical care.
Many of the animals who arrive at Laughlin Farm come frightened, malnourished, injured, or emotionally shut down. Through patience, rehabilitation, veterinary care, and love, these animals are given the chance to heal and finally experience safety.
The rescue is run daily by Cassie Laughlin, her husband Alex, and their daughters, making it a true family effort rooted in compassion and second chances.
At Laughlin Farm, every animal matters — no matter how broken their story may begin.
Our mission is simple: rescue them, help them heal, and give them a safe place to call home.
Laughlin Farm rescues, rehabilitates and provides lifelong care for neglected, abandoned and at-risk large animals while encouraging compassion, responsible animal care and the belief that every life deserves a second chance.
What Your Gift Makes Possible
Caring for 30+ rescued animals is a 365-day-a-year commitment.
Your donation helps provide:
Hay & Feed
Keeping more than 30 mouths fed every single day.
Veterinary Care
From routine care to unexpected emergencies and ongoing treatment.
Specialized Care
Some of our animals require farrier rehabilitation, medication or specialized equipment — like the custom braces created specifically for our sweet Jules.
Safe Shelter & Fencing
Maintaining the spaces that keep our animals protected through Texas heat, storms and winter weather.
Rescue & Rehabilitation
Transportation, supplies and the hands-on care required when another animal needs somewhere safe to go.
$10,000 is more than a fundraising goal.
It is food in a trough.
Medicine when someone is sick.
A vet call when something isn’t right.
A repaired fence.
A specialized brace.
And one more opportunity to say YES when an animal needs us.
Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every person who chooses to stand behind these animals matters.
Thank you for helping us give them the life they deserved all along. 🤎
