Labeled and Loved serves children with disabilities by giving their primary caretakers the support they need to avoid caretaker burnout.
Nineteen research studies have identified parents of children with disabilities to have an increased risk for depression (95%) and anxiety (90%). The divorce rate is over 85% for parents of children with a disability.
Labeled and Loved combats these statistics through the following in-person and online programs:
· 3-Day Weekend of Hope for moms of kids with disabilities
· Sunshine in the Spectrum – Tangible parenting tips videos for all abilities
· Sisterhood Circles – Year-round virtual support groups for moms of kids with disabilities
· Sticky Notes for the Heart – Weekly inspirational texts with messages that stick
· Moms Mingles – Yearly evenings of connection, support and inspiration in several cities
Labeled and Loved provides Sunshine in the Spectrum, Sisterhood Circles, Sticky Notes for the Heart, and Moms Mingles free of charge. The Weekend of Hope is offered at a greatly reduced cost for all attendees and also full scholarships are offered for those with low income.
Labeled and Loved's mission is to embrace and strengthen families with disabilities by providing connective experiences and educational resources igniting personal growth and systemic change within the community.
