Everyone can relate to the fact that music moves you.  It makes you happy and want to dance.  It can make you cry and help you deal with grief or sadness.  But KidLinks music takes it to a whole other level - KidLinks music gives musical hugs!

KidLinks is committed to linking kids to healing, hope and happiness through music and media.  The messages found in KidLinks music give all kids a healthy, safe and positive way to connect with their emotions and have made a powerful impact in our community since 1983.

Take a child that is angry over her little brother knocking over her dolls.  Our song, “Breathe In, Breathe Out”, recognizes that the frustration a young child feels can cause her to “scream and shout and squirm and pout – things being angry sometimes makes kids do!” But the little girl in the song realizes “she’s not having any fun,” and so she starts to breathe in and out.  The song helps her “shake it off” and calm down. It’s a super fun song that truly passes on a life skill message that sticks – and that’s the power of KidLinks’ music.

Through the generosity of our donors, KidLinks financially supports therapeutic music initiatives and free/low-cost treatment programs for children in need. KidLinks developed Therapeutic Music Entertainment, giving patients and families in hospitals, classrooms, and homes everywhere digital access to healthy and entertaining musical content.

Funds raised go directly to the development of this digital content as well as our music therapy programs, to provide hope for all children, no matter what life circumstance they are experiencing. We can't do it without the support of so many contributors. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach to include children and their families across the United States by funding Therapeutic Music Entertainment (TME) and Music Therapy (MT) in hospitals and special care centers.

Over 400,000 total individuals have been touched by our mission since starting in 1983.

Linking Kids to Healing, Hope & Happiness through Music and Media.

Funding of MUSIC THERAPY for the child of a family unable to afford treatment for their special needs child:

Our Board-Certified Music Therapists provide weekly telehealth and direct therapy services to youth ages 2-18 years old. The therapist assesses the strengths and needs of each child and creates an individualized treatment plan which uses music to address areas of cognition, physical, communication, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Funding of THERAPEUTIC MUSIC performances for hospitalized children in our community:

Our Therapeutic Music Entertainers (TME) provide direct therapeutic music performances at hospitals and special care centers throughout the DFW area. Whenever in- person visits are not possible, we also offer virtual programs, including “at-home” live streaming, virtual concerts, and engaging media designed to build social-emotional learning skills.

Funding of KidLinks SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS (S-ES) DEVELOPMENT ENHANCEMENT for agencies across Texas:

KIDLINKS S-ES platform is a customized subscription-based music resource to support clinicians and families in the development of coping and social skills through music and media. In many clinical settings, children can often go at least two weeks between sessions with their clinician, and during this time, can lose progress. A creative and engaging song that encourages the repetition of skills learned in a therapy session can aid in social-emotional development. This platform is currently rolling out to community center organizations across Texas.

Funding to grow KIDLINKS PLAYGROUND on

The messages in KidLinks music give all kids a healthy, safe and positive way to connect with their emotions. With our music, Kids Can! 12 song categories can be found on KidLinks Playground including categories of Community, Encouragement, Diversity, Fun & Silly, Friendship - but there is room for more!

Children can enjoy access to our songs at any time on our website and can ask their smart speakers to play through popular third-party music subscription services.
