Kids First, Inc. has cared for abused and neglected youth for the last 15 years. We've served over 1,000 foster and kinship youth and completed 125 adoptions.
Families who serve our youth are the true champions because they give their all to ensure the youth feel safe and then healing can begin. Our youth have experienced the evil of our world coming from abandonment, sex trafficking, violence, and sexual abuse to name a few.
Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where youth can heal, grow, and find their way back to the loving embrace of a safe family. Our youth have endured abuse and need a well equipped safe family to help provide a healing journey. The youth we serve come with trauma that is unbelievable!
We need to provide special sensory items and activity for our youth to manage their emotions, one-on-one support with the challenging behaviors in the homes, and provided trained well equipped respite for our families to prevent burn out. Kids First loves to make dreams come true by supporting career opportunities for older youth.
Our families have dedicated their lives and welcomed traumatized youth into their homes. Therefore, at the very least, we feel the obligation to support our youth and families to the utmost!
Through our programs and advocacy efforts, we are committed to promoting justice and equity for all, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from our services without discrimination.
