Keep Burleson Beautiful (KBB) has taken root in the Burleson, TX community since 1984, growing in many ways over the years, including becoming an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
KBB is driven nearly 100% by volunteers - with the exception of city staff board liaisons - operated by residents, for residents. Through effective partnerships with the City of Burleson Parks and Recreation Department, resources are leveraged to expand scope of work. With education and inspiration, KBB strives to see positive change in many ways.
The KBB biannual Trash Bash event regularly draws 400-500 residents, dedicated to litter pickup around town. Adopt-A-Spot volunteers perform routine clean ups on a smaller scale. Education is centered around awareness about waste reduction, proper recycling, and water conservation. Partnering with Texas Master Naturalists and the City, KBB supports native planting, No Mow areas, and several pollinator gardens.
Each spring, two graduating seniors are awarded $1,000 scholarships to recognize the servant heart. Beautification can happen in many ways - working together to help in your community is certainly one of the best.
It's been said that if you want to change the world, start by changing your own backyard. That's what Keep Burleson Beautiful is here to do.
The mission of Keep Burleson Beautiful (KBB) is to educate and engage residents of Burleson to take greater responsibility for enhancing their community.
With your support, we can maintain current programs and expand future initiatives.
Future goals include re-establishing additional educational programs and downtown beautification programs to reduce litter.
Inclusivity is essential. We strive to accommodate all individuals in our programs.
