Mission

The mission of Janie’s Angels is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration for mothers and their children who are experiencing maternal incarceration and to build a brighter future for families impacted by maternal incarceration.

Needs

As Janie's Angels continues to grow, so does the need to serve more children and families impacted by maternal incarceration. Your support helps us provide transportation for monthly family reunification visits, trauma-informed programming, mentorship, summer camp scholarships, meals, educational activities, and holiday celebrations. Donations also help us recruit and train volunteers, expand programming for boys and girls, and ensure that every child can participate at no cost to their family. Every gift—regardless of size—helps us create opportunities for healing, hope, and lasting family connection.

Equity Statement

Janie's Angels is committed to fostering a culture of belonging where every child, family, volunteer, and partner is treated with dignity and respect. We recognize that children impacted by maternal incarceration often face significant barriers and unequal opportunities. Through trauma-informed, family-centered programming, we work to remove those barriers by providing equitable access to support, meaningful relationships, and life-changing experiences. We believe every family deserves compassion, every child deserves opportunity, and every person deserves to be seen for their potential—not their past.
