About ISF

Since 1985, the Irving Schools Foundation has been a vital presence in the Irving ISD community, funding programs that touch and transform the lives of thousands of students, teachers, and district employees every year.

Over 85% of Irving ISD students are economically disadvantaged, and because of the many educational barriers they face, they hear “no” often. “No, you can’t go to college,” or “no, there aren’t enough funds for this after-school program,” but at the Irving Schools Foundation, we are here to say YES to our students! We say “yes” by providing over $400,000 in scholarships to our graduating seniors every year. We say “yes” by funding innovative and out-of-the-ordinary learning opportunities through our Spark Tank program. Lastly, we say “yes” by providing over 1,000 weekly food bags to students through our Food for Thought program. These are just some examples of the amazing programs that we offer —and with your help, we’ll do even greater things in the future. Are you ready to join us and make a difference?

Mission

The Irving Schools Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial resources to maximize educational opportunities for teachers and students in Irving ISD by funding innovative programs, scholarships, and activities that enhance creativity, leadership, and academic success.

Needs

Over 86% of Irving ISD students are economically disadvantaged, and we want to ensure that our students are equipped with the resources they need to succeed. Our goal is to never turn a child away, but that is only possible with the support of our community.

Our programs include:

- Food for Thought: Low-barrier weekend food bag program which provides more than 1,700 bags each week to students facing food insecurity

- Community 2 Classroom Store: Place for educators in Irving ISD to shop at no cost for their students' needs, including school supplies, backpacks, uniforms, socks, shoes, and underwear

- Spark Tank: Allows students and educators to pitch ideas and securing funding for unique and out-of-the ordinary learning experiences

- Employee Enrichment Grants: Provides grants to Irving ISD educators who are looking to further their education.
