Irving Arts Center Series
MainStage Irving-Las Colinas is a volunteer-run theater which has enriched the Irving-Las Colinas community and surrounding area as a leading arts resource for more than 50 years with quality theater productions and volunteer opportunities. Each year, MainStage presents a season of six theatrical productions that are affordable, and appeal to Irving's diverse population. Although the theater serves the general population, a majority of season ticket subscribers are seniors who depend on MainStage to provide low-cost, entertaining theater that is easily accessible and performed at the Irving Arts Center, a fully-compliant ADA venue. MainStage provides valuable creative opportunities to the community allowing people to grow their artistry and gain theatrical skills in production design and arts management. MainStage provides opportunities for professional artists throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area to practice their craft and mentor emerging artists.

MainStage 222 Studio
MainStage222 is a studio and office space located in downtown Irving's Heritage District. MainStage222 provides two performance spaces; a black box theater for smaller theater groups needing an intimate, affordable space which can be difficult to find in the Dallas area, and the Music Garden, a larger open-air stage and seating space for outdoor theatrical productions, and live bands. The studio also has a cafe area and catering kitchen, making it a versatile venue which appeals to a variety of local performing arts groups, as well as the general public wishing to book it for private parties such as weddings and birthdays. MainStage uses the space for its rehearsals and volunteer meetings. The studio attracts people from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and adds to the revitalization of historic downtown Irving. MainStage partners with other local arts groups such as donating space to the Irving Arts Association for a gallery to highlight local artists' work to providing rehearsal space for the Sassy Senior Dancers, who perform regularly at local assisted-living facilities to hosting other local groups' galas and celebrations.

Needs

Our Needs

MainStage offers corporate sponsors branding opportunities which have the potential to reach hundreds of theatergoers from all over the DFW area and make a positive impact on the Irving-Las Colinas community and surrounding area. A few cost-effective opportunities that are available include underwriting production costs, sponsoring MainStage's season, purchasing ad space in season programs, sponsoring opening night receptions, and covering food costs for events and rehearsals.

MainStage seeks capital funds to complete the remodel of the black box theater/rehearsal room.

MainStage always needs passionate, committed volunteers to help in all aspects of putting on a show: from serving as backstage running crew to building sets and costumes to front of house duties such as ushering and running concessions.

Equity Statement

MainStage Irving-Las Colinas Board of Directors supports a culture of diversity, inclusion and equity. We strive to represent the Irving community, one of the most diverse cities in the nation.
