Inclusive Sports & Social Skills Program started up in Wylie, Texas from a conversation between moms/educators of special needs children on how we could support the needs of students and parents of the special needs community in our area and surrounding cities. With all of the thoughts and ideas running through our minds and sitting in our hearts, we decided to start this organization in January of 2024. We started out with a small summer camp that was hosted at our local library and we were fortunate to start that with our children working with us. Following a successful summer camp, we decided to offer various social events throughout the year that didn't always go as planned, but we perseverance never wavered. In April of this year, we hosted a spring break camp at a local church by the name of Wylie Methodist, which also turned out to be a great success. Now, we are currently providing a summer camp at the same location. We have been excited to provide camps, creating safe spaces for the children with special needs to develop structure, have support, gain social skills and sports techniques during school breaks. Our aspiration is to secure a permanent location that offers everything they would need as well as transportation for our program.
