 Why Your Support Matters

Before coming to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue & Educational Center, Holiday lived in a 15’ by 25’ concrete cage without access to grass.  As with all white tigers, Holiday was inbred for his white color. Inbreeding causes horrible genetic problems. His eyes are severely crossed almost to the point you can barely see his pupils.  If that wasn’t enough, his eyelashes were inverted and growing into his eyes. This pain caused his eyes to become red with irritation and drain profusely.   He would rub his eyes with his paws trying to keep them from hurting.

In-Sync Exotics is a sanctuary—not a zoo—which rescues abused, neglected, and unwanted exotic felines. We provide them with a safe, forever home, complete with the highest quality of care, including the proper environment, nutrition, veterinary care, and enrichment.  We are currently home to more than 80 exotic and domestic animals that are with us for life!

Holiday has had 4 surgeries on his eyes. While he is still cross-eyed, his eyes are no longer red and puffy or draining. We also found that Holiday has severe skin allergies, which we treat with medications. He is now happy and healthy, again, thanks to your support.

We rescued 5 cats from this horrible place; two ligers (bred from a male lion and a female tiger), one tiger, and two leopards.  I think about the work that goes into helping all these cats get well and have happy, healthy lives!  It doesn’t go without heartache, and I cry every time we are able to save a cat that needs the love and attention they deserve.  Yes, we took every one of these cats knowing it would cost money to make them well. We must depend on our supporters to help us with this mission; help us give the cats running room, good food and vet care.  The cats depend on you!

In-Sync Exotics is entirely funded by the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations through donations and grants. To continue to run a successful sanctuary, your support is needed to pay for the care of our residents and for general maintenance of the facilities.

Because our exotic cats cannot be released to the wild, they will remain in our care for the rest of their lives.  Holiday is just one example.  With him, we also rescued Lily, Onyx, Zachariah and Tabatha.  All but Lily came with health issues.  Costly issues that will need to be addressed, for the rest of their lives.

If a wish could be granted, ours would be a world where sanctuaries like ours are no longer needed. Until that day comes, we are committed to caring for these animals for the rest of their lives.  Please join us in this commitment with a donation to In-Sync Exotics today.

Sincerely,

Vicky Keahey

Mission

“To provide a caring, safe haven to some of God’s most beautiful creatures. We put their needs above all else; the old, the maimed, the unwanted can find sanctuary here.”

In-Sync Exotics is entirely funded by individuals, corporations, and foundations through donations and grants. To continue our work, we seek funds to cover recurring costs such as food (over $20,000 per month), veterinary care (more than $240,000 annually), and the general maintenance costs of running a successful sanctuary. All our exotic cats remain in our care for the rest of their lives, and we need your help to continue giving them the lives they deserve.

Needs

Caring for our exotic family members is a significant and ongoing commitment, with annual expenses exceeding $1.3 million. This includes over $20,000 per month for food and more than $240,000 annually for veterinary care, not to mention the general maintenance required to run a successful sanctuary.

These expenses underscore the importance of our fundraising efforts such as the Gigi Gartner matching fund.

Some of our cats may live to be 20 years old, and because they cannot be returned to the wild, we are dedicated to caring for them throughout their lives. Your support is crucial to our mission.
