Essential Foundation Inc. (EFI) is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit agency dedicated to providing exclusive care and services to our children and families in our community. EFI provides 24-hour residential foster care and adoption services to children that have been removed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We encourage connections, education, cognitive development, mentoring, critical thinking & building skills that will help them along their personal life purpose. It is our passion to ensure upcoming generations have consistent life fundamentals to be successful and empowered.
To inspire all young ladies and gentlemen to become a greater version of themselves daily using our essential life skills throughout making connections, education, cognitive development, mentoring, critical thinking & building skills that will help them along their personal life purpose. It is our passion and responsibility to ensure the upcoming generations have the consistent necessities and fundamentals of life to be successful overall. Essential Foundation Inc. takes pride in enlightening the youth skills such as the importance of giving, communication, social, emotional, gross, and fine motor skills, as well as speech and language skills.
To be successful, our mission requires community partnership with compassionate citizens like yourself and the professionals that represent our business community. Our services are meeting the real needs of local families and together we can continue this important work. At some point, almost everyone comes in contact with a family that desperately needs our services, and we want to be ready to answer that call.
Needs
When a child comes into foster care in DFW it usually is an emergency removal, which means the foster parent or temporary placement has very limited time to prepare for their arrival.
Our First Day Packs have been created to provide comfort with basic hygiene needs to help with this transition.
Essential Foundation is asking for your support to make these transitions into care a bit more comforting. We need your help:
- Become a monthly donor- you decide amount, and commitment length
- Give a one-time donation to assist with emergency needs, when coming into foster care.
