Hugs Cafe Inc

For nearly 10 years, Hugs Cafe has empowered adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through purpose-driven programs that provide training, meaningful employment, and community involvement. 

Our mission comes to life through four core programs: 

• Hugs Cafe – Our flagship program, where adults with IDD are employed in a fast-casual restaurant setting. Team members receive hands-on training and competitive pay while gaining confidence, skills, and a deep sense of belonging.
• Hugs Greenhouse – A vibrant garden and retail space that offers paid employment and job training in horticulture, retail, and customer service.
• Hugs Home Cooking – Monthly cooking classes designed to spark creativity, build friendships, and continue culinary learning outside of the workplace.
• Hugs Training Academy – A vocational education program that offers adults with IDD job training for careers in the food service and hospitality industries as well as placement assistance after graduation.

As we approach our 10th anniversary in October 2025, we are thrilled to celebrate several exciting milestones: 

• Later in 2025, we will open our second Hugs Cafe location in Dallas, adding 30 new mission-based positions and extending our reach to serve even more amazing individuals.
• We’ve broken ground on the Hugs Cafe Inc. Headquarters building, set to be completed in mid-2026. This new home base will allow us to grow, innovate, and expand our missions impact nationwide.
