The Hispanic Debutante Association of Fort Worth founded in March 1985, the Hispanic Debutante Association of Fort Worth began as a response to the high dropout rate among Hispanic students—especially Hispanic women, who had the lowest college attendance rates at the time.
In 1997, we proudly expanded our program to include young men, continuing our mission of uplifting the next generation of Hispanic leaders.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging Hispanic students to graduate from high school and pursue higher education at accredited colleges, universities, or vocational schools. We support our students through scholarships, cultural and social enrichment, connections with business leaders, and mentorship opportunities—helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Our impact speaks for itself: 80% of our students have completed high school and gone on to college. Alumni have attended prestigious institutions such as Texas Christian University, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Stanford University, Notre Dame, and many more.To date, we’ve presented over 250 students and awarded more than $350,000 in scholarships.
We raise funds through community donations, partnerships with business leaders and corporations, raffles, mixers, and program advertisements.
.Each year, we welcome up to 12 Hispanic students (ages 16–21) who meet our requirements. Thanks to continued involvement from past participants, we now provide financial assistance until students complete their studies—extending opportunities to pursue Master’s degrees or higher. Together, we are breaking barriers, opening doors, and empowering Hispanic youth to dream big and achieve more.
