Highlands Christian School is a private, co-educational school dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Carden education in Lake Highlands.

Built upon a foundation of the proven, time-tested Carden Method curriculum, Highlands Christian School provides an academic environment that is both nurturing and rigorous for Pre-K through 6th grade students.

Our 15:1 teacher-student ratio and average teacher tenure of 24 years make us unique among Dallas schools. We emphasize academic excellence, development of character, a "whole child" focus, and independent thinking within a supportive and nurturing environment.

We believe that as children train their minds through academics, they should also strengthen their bodies through athletic endeavors, and develop a spiritual foundation as they learn to "act justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with God."

Highlands Christian School is a private, co-educational school dedicated to nurturing and challenging each child – body, mind, and spirit – to the glory of God, serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Needs

As our students begin the 25/26 school year, we are thankful that HCS has the opportunity to participate in North Texas Giving Day. We are joining thousands of non-profits in Dallas for this remarkable day of generosity.

NTGD comes at the perfect time for HCS. We are beginning our third year at our new location, and while we boast a fifty-eight year legacy and some of the most experienced teachers in Dallas, we have been rebuilding the physical assets of the school from the ground-up.

Because of your gifts last year, HCS made significant updates. Last year and over the summer we:

- Began our Middle School with our first ever seventh-grade class!

- Updated our library with 165 new books, many for our youngest students.

- Purchased new sporting equipment and expanded the computer lab with new computers.

- Hired four new teachers and three new staff members, all while keeping our budget within our tuition income stream so that gifts go to improving the student experience.
