Hidalgo Ministries

OVERVIEW

Hidalgo Ministries is focused on dynamic spiritual and social transformation of the community through relational evangelism and discipleship. Based in a 97% Hispanic community in Dallas, Hidalgo has been impacting lives and eternities through Kids Clubs, Teen Groups, Adult Bible studies, community events, and more since 2002!  Originally holding Kids Clubs outside, we later bounced around to vacant apartments, were provided our own apartment to use for ministry, and eventually were allowed to renovate the clubhouse building of the community as our ministry center. Whether we were in the apartment or later in the clubhouse, the community refers to us as "the Church".  We now have kids coming to our activities whose parents were once participants!

VISION

We desire to grow a ministry which is reaching and discipling entire families. As research shows most people form their lifetime moral foundation by age nine and their worldview by age thirteen, our strongest ministry is to children in Kinder-7th grade. We desire to increase our influence on teens and parents as well through small groups, mentoring, and other life-impact ministries.

Imagine a community where parents are welcoming, evangelizing, and discipling their neighbors, teens are mentoring and leading younger children, and families are growing spiritually together.

Small-group discipleship is a primary goal, but we are open to either starting a worship service on-site or partnering with a local Spanish-speaking church.
