$25,000 Goal

Help raise $25,000 to build capacity and increase collective investments in Black womxn and girls!

Led with an equity and gender lens, HERitage is committed to engaging Black women of varying economic status and backgrounds, with a heart for investing in organizations, often grassroots, small to medium in size and/or start ups. Often these organizations have limited access to funding sources to support basic operating needs (staff income, supplies, transportation, etc.), help to increase service capacity and reach, and sustain much-needed program services over time.

Why your support is needed, TODAY!

Summer 2023, HERitage was excited to reactivate its membership and grantmaking with a mission to encourage philanthropy in the Black community that contributes in a meaningful and strategic way, resulting in increased funding to nonprofit organizations serving Black women and girls throughout North Texas and the state. Reactivation includes a new vision to increase the giving circle’s impact through expanded membership reach, increased collective giving, intentional advocacy and broader industry influence, nonprofit leadership and philanthropy-centered programming, national collaboration, racial equity initiatives and resource sharing. This will require capacity building and the incorporation of formal administration and operating systems.

HERitage’s Unique Opportunities

  1. Membership Expansion - North Texas has experienced significant population growth, especially for Black women. HGF strives to be a safe space for diverse Black women to connect, learn and serve.
  2. Advocacy and Empowerment - HGF is already known for its impact "beyond the dollar". We lead the charge for equitable investment in Black women-led nonprofits and can build collective power through intentional advocacy and elevated philanthropy empowerment.
  3. Greater Investment - Increased membership and contributions from donors/"friends", allies, corporations and foundations will result in significant investment and long-term support for our programs and targeted causes.
  4. Statewide/National Influence & Reach - HGF has maintained a highly-respected brand and reputation and with capacity building and strategic marketing & communications, our influence and reach will be transformational.
