About Us

Harbor Village is a day program for young adults with disabilities who need full care, including assistance with all daily living activities such as feeding, toileting, communication, mobility, and hygiene.  With a 2:1 staff-to-client ratio, Harbor Village ensures each client receives individualized attention and the specialized care they require.

During our program, clients participate in activities to the best of their abilities such as music, exercise, life skills goals, arts & crafts, functional academic goals, and sensory play.

We believe true care begins with understanding each client as an individual - not defined by their diagnosis, but celebrated for their unique personality, needs, and wants.

We must be relentless in our advocacy for this often-silent population as one of the most underserved populations in society.

Our Mission

The mission of Harbor Village is to provide a safe and loving environment for young adults with disabilities in Collin County, TX, who need full care, while exemplifying our core values: compassion, respect, and community.

We are committed to:

  • Loving our clients through the compassionate care of our incredible staff, volunteers, and donors
  • Helping our clients experience joy through our program activities
  • Providing peace of mind for our clients’ families
  • Developing a community full of meaningful relationships

Our Needs

The lifetime cost of caring for a disabled adult child who needs full care can be an overwhelming financial burden for families. At Harbor Village, clients pay tuition, but in order to keep these fees affordable, tuition covers only about half of the expenses required to operate our day program. The remaining costs are met through the generosity of donors, whose faithful support ensures our clients continue to receive the care, community, and opportunities they deserve.

In 2025, we are seeking donations to help in the following areas:

  • Scholarship funding to assist families in affording the tuition
  • General operating costs to maintain the quality of care provided
  • Capital funding as we work to purchase/lease and renovate a facility to allow our program to grow

Equity Statement

At Harbor Village, we embrace community by welcoming every individual and family, serving without discrimination based on identifying factors, so that all may feel valued and included.
