Happy Dance Dog Rescue

We are a small all-breed dog rescue group looking to have a large footprint. We fully vetted and found homes for 70 dogs in the last year. We focus on animals either found wandering the streets and shelter dogs with small issues. To date, we've only had fosters able to handle small dog breeds, so we take in a lot of Chihuahua, Dachshund and Terrier mixes. We also foster lots and lots of puppies!

While we are a dog rescue group, we nonetheless find ourselves with needy kittens and cats from time to time. We fully vet them and turn them over to partner cat rescue groups to adopt out.

Three years ago, we started a program to feed starving dogs in El Salvador, a small, poor country where dogs are in great need. Since then, we have worked with local contacts to provide thousands of pounds of dog food--each year!--to local shelters.

Our Needs

Because we are an all-volunteer group, our only expenses are incidentals & medical. The incidental expenses are minor and are paid out of adoption fees: crates, leashes/collars, potty pads, etc. Overwhelmingly, the bulk of our budget--and ALL donations--go towards medical expenses. Our standard medical treatment includes spay/neuter, all shots and microchip. But we incur a variety of other expenses: Heartworm treatment, seizure treatment and medications, hernia surgery, tumor removal, teeth cleaning and extractions and more. Our current, and constant, need is for funds for medical treatment of our foster dogs.
