Established in 1992, the Great Flag Caper has been recognized metro wide for involvement in and promotion of civic awareness. Each year, more than 300 volunteers unite to plant over 40,000 flags across the community to promote kindness, inclusion, unity, respect and patriotism. The Great Flag Caper also hosts an annual essay contest for children with patriotic themes. There's always a seat for everyone at the Great Flag Caper dinner table. Caper motto: We do not live in America. America lives in us!

Giving Activity
Mission
We promote patriotism and civic awareness thru art and essay contests and by planting American flags on the 4th of July across communities. Our volunteers provide the momentum to display and teach patriotism, and serve as mentors and role models for others within our neighborhoods, our community, our state, and our nation.
Needs
Approximately 3000 dollars in NTGD funds supports the annual purchase of flags (made in the USA!), postcard mailing, and purchase of merchandise that advertises the non profit.
