Our Needs

Great Hearts Irving is a public, nonprofit charter school serving K-12. Great Hearts Irving pursues a simple proposition: making available a classical, liberal arts education to all children.  An education must teach "Wisdom begins with wonder", giving students the ability to develop a keen eye and ear for what's true and what matters.  In order to provide our faculty and students with the resources they need to learn and thrive, we ask for contributions to fill the gap between what we receive as a public school and the actual needs to provide an exemplary education.

These funds will go directly to the following:
- Helps us provide training, recruitment, and competitive salaries to retain our excellent and dedicated faculty.
- Keeps our student-to-teacher ratio smaller for more individualized attention through the support of teacher assistants.
- Supports expenses of programming, supplies, daily operations, and maintenance needs.

- Enable us to provide daily exposure to fine arts.

Mission

The mission of Great Hearts is to create a network of academically rigorous, classical, liberal arts K-12 public charter schools, which will prepare its graduates for success in the most highly selective colleges and universities in the nation. Our objective is for our scholars to be leaders in creating a more philosophical, humane, and just society. The ultimate goal of the organization is to graduate "great-hearted" young men and women who possess a sense of destiny and purpose directed to the service of the greater good.
