Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center creates a Christian environment where authentic relationships can be formed as we welcome campers in our summer program and guests for year round retreats and conferences. The ministry of Glen Lake Camp has been changing lives for over 80 years. Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center is a Christian retreat and conference center owned and operated by the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our unique, faith-based summer camp welcomes children, students, volunteers, and their families from all over the nation to experience God in fun-filled adventures and a journey creating disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world!
Beginning in the 1930's as a summer camp facility, Glen Lake Camp has expanded to be one of the premier retreat facilities in the Central Texas area, serving the needs of non-profit organizations such as churches, para-church organizations, schools, universities, government, and community agencies. Our 80+ acre main campus is situated on the Paluxy River in the heart of Glen Rose, Texas where our campers and guests can enjoy the beauty of God's creation as they slow down, focus, and rejuvenate.

Glen Lake Camp is embarking on a transformative multi-phase Capital Campaign to build for the future of our ministry and it starts with water.
Our highest priority is replacing the waterpark, originally built in 1994, which has brought joy and connection to thousands of campers and guests. The new waterpark will feature a 40’x75’ recreational pool with zero entry and slide, a lazy river, a pool house, and beautiful wrought iron fencing. This space will not only provide fun and recreation but also serve as a vibrant gathering place where faith and friendships flourish.
Beyond the waterpark, the Capital Campaign will also fund:
Enhancements to recreation offerings to expand opportunities for campers and guests of all ages.
The construction of the Smith Leadership Center, creating a dedicated space for leadership development, staff training, and community gatherings.
Renovation of our vintage cabins, preserving the charm and history of Glen Lake while updating for comfort and safety.
Creation of additional program spaces to support year-round retreats, conferences, and ministry.
