🌱 Help Us Grow a Healthier North Texas
Giving Tree Acres Community Farm is on a mission to fight hunger and transform food pantries and schools into havens of health for families across Dallas. We grow regeneratively farmed produce, pasture-raised proteins, and nutrient-dense foods—and donate them directly to organizations serving communities where healthy food is needed most.
This North Texas Giving Day, we're raising funds to help us close out our strongest year yet—because healthy food changes everything.
💚 Why It Matters
Texas has the highest hunger rate in the U.S.
- 1 in 4 children faces food insecurity
- Poor diets drive obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease
- Food insecurity adds $2 billion in healthcare costs annually
We believe in the power of food as medicine. Access to fresh, nutrient-rich food doesn't just feed families—it heals them.
🌟 Your Impact So Far
In 2025, we scaled fast: food donations grew 267% over 2024, and protein donations grew 361%—together we:
- Donated 9,798 lbs of farm-fresh food (up 267% from 2024)
- Provided 48,000+ servings of proteins, fruits & veggies
- Partnered with Brother Bill's Helping Hand, serving West Dallas families, and launched our Early Childhood Nutrition Program with Momentous Institute
And in 2026, we've already gone further. By the end of August, we'd donated 9,842 lbs—surpassing our entire 2025 total, with four months still to go.
🚀 Our 2026 Goal
In our first year, we grew donations by 267%. With your help, we want to keep that momentum going—growing our impact another 20% this year:
- 12,000 lbs of nutrient-dense food donated
- 53,000+ servings of proteins, fruits & vegetables
- Continuing our Food Pantry Donation Program with Brother Bill's Helping Hand
- Building toward a permanent home for the farm through our new Land & Infrastructure Fund
💛 How You Can Help
Every gift fuels our mission:
- $50 → 40 servings of fresh produce
- $100 → A farm-share box for a family
- $500 → Fund fresh food for 5 families
This North Texas Giving Day, your support fights hunger, improves health, and empowers families. Together, we can grow a healthier, stronger North Texas.
