Texas TicKids connects underserved youth and families to live sports, arts, and cultural events.
Dallas is the nation’s leader in live experiences — from championship sports to the #1 urban arts district in the country. Yet, 1 in 3 children in North Texas grows up in poverty and rarely has access to these events.
Texas TicKids is closing that gap — and we are the only organization tackling this need at scale.
Why It Matters
In our first year, we’ve already shared 1,500+ tickets through our network of vetted nonprofit partners. Every ticket comes with a story:
"A tear rolled down her cheek." At the Dallas Symphony, five homeless teens filled a row of seats. At first, they didn’t care much about going — they didn’t even know what to expect. But partway through, a mentor noticed a tear rolling down one teen’s cheek. A moment of connection that will stay with her.
"I can't wait for my first practice." A teenage boy living in transitional housing signed up for football at his new high school but felt overwhelmed with intimidation. After attending an NFL preseason game with his caseworker, he walked out of the stadium saying: “I can’t wait for my first practice — I know I can do it.”
That's what Texas TicKids does -- creating firsts that spark joy, hope, belonging, and possibility.

Access shouldn’t depend on income. Yet for many families, the cost, logistics, and exclusivity of live events create invisible barriers. Texas TicKids was founded to change that.
We believe every child deserves a seat—regardless of zip code, background, or circumstance. By partnering with nonprofits across DFW, we ensure that joy, inspiration, and belonging aren’t privileges for the few, but possibilities for all. Equity is the reason we exist—and the outcome we work toward every day.
