German ISD is proud to be the only German language immersion school in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex offering full-time, weekday German language instruction from 12 months through 6th grade. Our school provides children with the unique opportunity to grow up bilingual while developing a broader understanding of the world, different cultures, and endless possibilities for their future.

Reggio Emilia-Inspired Preschool

Our Preschool program, serving children from 12 months through Pre-K, is deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We believe children are naturally curious, capable, creative, and eager to explore their world. Learning begins with their interests and ideas and develops through play, investigation, discovery, and meaningful relationships.

In a warm, nurturing, German-speaking environment, children are encouraged to ask questions, make choices, experiment, create, and express themselves in many different ways. Our educators carefully observe each child and create opportunities that support their individual development and interests.

We place a strong emphasis on learning through play, nature, creativity, movement, and exploration. Our beautiful outdoor Spielplatz gives children the freedom to run, climb, swing, balance, build, dig, and discover in an all-weather environment.

Our goal is to nurture the whole child - physically, socially, emotionally, creatively, and intellectually - while fostering independence, confidence, communication, and a lifelong love of learning.

Elementary & Middle School

Building on this strong foundation, our Elementary and Middle School programs provide a rigorous academic education in a bilingual German-English environment. German ISD combines the Bayerischer Lehrplan (Bavarian Curriculum) with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), giving students the opportunity to benefit from both the German and American educational systems.

Students develop essential skills in literacy, mathematics, science, the arts, music, and social learning, while continuing to experience German language and Central European culture every day.

German ISD combines academic excellence with a global perspective, preparing students to become confident, curious, bilingual learners who are ready to make their mark on the world.

Our Needs

We are planning to add new playground equipment to our elementary playground! We are looking to add shading for the hot summers as well as add a sandbox, swing and mud kitchen. We would also like add a mud kitchen to our preschool playground.
